Monitors - Monitor Setup - Lab 1

Follow the steps below.

1. Ask your instructor for a computer and monitor.

2. Identify the VGA connector on the back of the computer.

3. Connect the monitor to the computer.

4. If using a previous operational computer, record the original video display settings.

5. Set up the monitor for 640 X 480 pixels with a 16 color display .

6. Set up the monitor for a setting greater than 640 X 480 pixels and with more than 16 colors.

7. Document the steps you used to accomplish steps 5 and 6 above.

8. Set the monitor driver back to the original settings when you started.
